The Purrrfect Bunch: Meet My Furry Companions

I have five cats. They inspire my art and provide enormous emotional support. And I decided that they definitely needed a post of their own, so here I am, introducing you to them.

Don’t worry, I’ll be fairly short and only share the

Let’s go!

  1. Alice
  2. Tosha
  3. Fenya
  4. Odin
  5. Kosya
  6. Final Thoughts

Alice

14 years old, the fluffiest fluff girl with gorgeous whiskers.

My husband and I found her in the street when she was barely 1 year old. She was obviously a lost or abandoned pet, but we were unable to find her owners – or they didn’t want to be found.

She look so cute, timidly eating the dry cat food someone left for her, and we just couldn’t resist.

Alice is a very polite delicate girl who asks for pets with soft purrs and gentle paw touches.

She also absolutely adores belly rubs – both your hands can grow tired and she’ll still be asking for more.

Tosha

13 years old, sweet ginger and white chonky boy, made by Alice.

Alice used to get lonely at home while everyone was out working or studying, and we thought another cat could help. We probably should have adopted instead of making Alice have kittens, but I don’t regret getting Tosha and Fenya.

We were initially planning to only keep one female kitten. My dad was going to adopt Tosha, he even chose his name, but it fell through due to various reasons. And we were by then too much in love to give Tosha to anyone else.

Tosha is a big boy who loves to be petted but on his terms only, and no belly rubs!

He also has a very thick coat and generates the most fur, even more than Alice.

Fenya

13 years old, a tiny girl with huge chaotic energy, made by Alice.

Fenya was the cat we initially planned to keep from Alice’s litter of kittens.

She is the smallest of the bunch but she has the loudest purrs and she stomps the loudest when running around.

She is also the most chaotic, suddenly running or jumping places, or screaming.

When she wants attention, she jumps on one of our desks, “helping” us work and spicing our coffee up with some fur.

Odin

5 years old, smart and playful mama’s (or rather papa’s) boy.

When I saw him in the street, he was a tiny sick kitten, dirty and flea-ridden. And I just couldn’t walk by. I took him to the vet and the Odin saga started.

He lived in quarantine in a separate room for a month, getting all sorts of shots, pills, and eye-drops. We didn’t manage to save his right eye as it was too damaged, and it had to be removed.

Later it also turned out that Odin has a heart defect and his heart can just give out at any time. While this sounds terrible, he feels well and just needs meds and frequent vet visits.

Odin love following my husband around the house and playing with knitted toys and bringing them to bed. He’s the only cat who actually likes cuddling with us – actually cuddling, and not just lying on top.

He also seems to be the smartest of the cats, although the others may just be lazy.

Kosya

6 years old, the friendliest sweet girl with anxiety and practically no teeth.

We found this cat while on a walk around the neighborhood. She was crying and running up to people, even the ones with dogs. Like Alice, she was obviously a lost or abandoned pet.

We grabbed her and brought her home, hoping we’d find her owners. But a few days and dozens if not hundreds of put up leaflets later, she was our cat – we just could not give her to anyone else.

She had terrible teeth, which didn’t just smell bad but could also be life-threatening, so we had them all removed.

Kosya is very sweet and friendly to all cats and humans. She loves belly rubs and cuddling in our lap. She plays with all our cats but has a special relationship with Odin.

She also has something akin to anxiety – she’s scared of loud noises and sudden movements, terribly afraid of thunderstorms – but she is getting better.

Final Thoughts

I could probably talk about my cats for hours – but I won’t. I really wanted to introduce them, though, and I hoped you enjoyed meeting the five fluffs.

Thank you for reading! If you have any questions, I’ll be happy to see them in the comments.
